People were receiving funds through their postal savings account which had a complex multi-step process and involvement of middle men.
The process was time taking, bureaucratic and tedious. Once the documents are lost getting them back involved numerous visits to several government offices.

From June-13 DILASA project is integrated with the central Government pfms.nic.in/ online DBT pension disbursement portal. Now the beneficiaries payment file is directly sent to banking system by applying DSC of approving authority(Drawing and Disbursing Officier) . Now no more cheque is issued by DDO. The online system and banking CBS system talks each other and debit the amount form Tahsildar account( DDO) and credit the amount to concerned beneficiaries account to any bank and any branch. Almost all banks were integrated with PFMS (Public Finance Management System) of GOI. The PFMS system makes either UID based or NEFT payment.

Laptop , finger print device & printer Setup from bank for new beneficiaries enrollement of UID enabled account in the first week of every month.
Existing manpower of Branch( 3-4) and additional two data entry operator for 2-3 months for purification of exsiting beneficiaries data as one time cost. ( 8000 per person per month). It may varies based upon the number beneficiaries and whether your existing record is manual or electronics.
With existing infrastructure the project was implemented from district collectotrate with no additional cost.
BC has to procure the Micro ATM along with PC/Laptop,Printer , BFD device ( appr. Cost 50000/- per location)
