Zero Investment Innovations in Education Initiatives (ZIIEI)

CIPS entered into a tripartite agreement with Sri Aurobindo Society (SAS) and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Government of Andhra Pradesh, for the implementation of the “Zero Investment Innovations in Education Initiatives (ZIIEI)” across government schools in Andhra Pradesh. The same innovation has also been replicated in the State of Telangana in collaboration with the Department of School Education, Government of Telangana.

Sri Aurobindo Society (SAS) has launched ZIIEI as a nationwide programme aimed at identifying the most effective and innovative solutions developed by teachers at the grassroots level and systematically scaling them across lakhs of schools. The programme seeks to empower key education stakeholders—including teachers, education officers, school management, students, and parents—by promoting simple, cost-effective innovations that enhance the quality, accessibility, and inclusiveness of education.

ZIIEI is recognized as one of the first and largest initiatives in India to acknowledge and honour teachers and schools that are driving meaningful change at the grassroots level through zero-cost educational innovations.

In continuation of this initiative, CIPS implemented a similar project at the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Seethampeta, Srikakulam District, Andhra Pradesh. The intervention covered 10 Tribal Welfare Schools and reached approximately 2,000 students from 8th to 10th standard. This initiative was undertaken in collaboration with COIGN Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd., to foster innovation, improve learning outcomes, and strengthening educational opportunities for tribal students.
