Objective(s):
- To sensitize the government functionaries on role of e-District for enhancing greater service delivery.
- To create a platform for cross-fertilization of innovative practices in e-District MMP and to share the experience of States/UTs in the areas/usage of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for effective service delivery.
- To discuss and arrive at practical road-map for institutionalizing these innovative practices in their home States/UTs by adopting e-Governance and ICT initiatives.
- To put in place a system that captures Innovations in e-District and helps in the Development and Management of Knowledge Repository that will come in handy for future reference.
Objectives of e-District Mission Mode Project:
- Efficient delivery of services with improved service levels by undertaking extensive Business Process Re-Engineering of identified services.
- Extensive Capacity Building and training of field level functionaries to ensure smooth migration to electronic delivery of e-District services and phasing out manual delivery of services.
- Delivery of services through Common Service Centers (CSCs) by leveraging the common infrastructure of SWAN, SDC, and SSDG.
- Providing easy, anywhere and anytime access to Government Services (both Information & Transactional) to ensure reliability, efficiency, transparency and accountability.
- Reducing administrative burden and service fulfilment time & costs for the Government, Citizens & Businesses.
