CIPS has been selected as one of the training partners by Commissionerate of School Education, GoAP and was assigned (1425) schools in (3) districts covering (2,11,334) students for implementing life skills and career guidance for IX and X class students. Accordingly, a meeting was held by CIPS team along with subject experts and other training partners.

CIPS team visited Commissionerate of School Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh to decide the content on life skills and career guidance to be imparted to IX and X class students of government schools. Also, the team visited Tribal Welfare Department and facilitated drafting letter to the Commissioner, Department of School Education requesting to furnish the data as required.

CIPS team visited Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Punjagutta and held discussions with Dr. Siddharth Rao, Dy. Medical Superintendent who had requested CIPS team to present a live demonstration to Dr. N. Satyanarayana, Medical Superintendent, NIMS on Eco365 Water saving nozzles. Response awaited to finalize the date for conducting the live demonstration.

Following the request from Tribal Welfare Department and Centre for Economic and Social Studies, Hyderabad, CIPS team headed by Advisor, CIPS, attended the review meeting on the project proposal titled “Study and documentation of the indigenous (Health) knowledge, performing Arts, Visual Arts of 23 Tribal Communities across AP” submitted by Prof. Vijay Prakash (Retd.,) from Andhra University.

CIPS team in consultation with Dr. N. Upender Reddy, Consultant, prepared draft structure of assessment of tribal education sector in Andhra Pradesh duly considering the achievements, challenges & policy options. The team also compiled ITDA wise tables for collecting details of schools, teachers, enrollment, teacher training, infrastructure facilities, etc. from the year 2013-2014 to 2017-2018.

Tirupataiah, IFS, Director-Centre for Forest and Natural Resource Management Studies (CEFNARM)-Telangana State Forest Academy, Ms. C.S Ramalakshmi, IFS (Retd.), Advisor-CIPS.
